Joyetech’s eGo-T REVIEW
From the legendary manufacturer Joyetech comes the latest electronic cigarette model to grace the market, The Joye eGo-T e-Cigarette. Known also as the “Ego Tank”, the Joye eGo-T uses empty plastic ‘tanks’ in lieu of traditional poly fill in cartridges and instead allows you to fill with e-Liquid and insert into the accompanying Ego-t atomizer effortlessly.
The Joye eGo-T is the latest technological advancement from popular e-Cigarette manufacturer Joyetech
Companies love to talk about revolutions in the e-Cigarette business but only Joye eGo-T really embodies the ideal. What I talk of a revolution, I mean a major one that’s poised to shake up the industry and redefine electronic smoking for hopelessly obsessed vapers like me as well as others (you know who you all are!). With new products and technology, advancements are certain to affect the quality of popular electronic smoking devices. With other brands, we only see a technological revolution once in a blue moon, but with the new Joye eGo-Tank/Tankmizer system is such a revolutionary advance in electronic smoking that I would be crazy to label it anything less.
The eGo-Tank Review: A Closer Look at Joyetech’s Joye eGo-T
Usually when we see revolutionary advances in electronic smoking, we only see it from a few suppliers or manufacturers. The latter, Joyetech, has bestowed upon vaping enthusiasts an excellent product that’s not only a joy to use but a privilege to own. With their stellar Joye 510 model or the introduction of the manual button Joye 510 and Mega Joye 510 batteries (which, if I may remind you, was soon emulated by other major e-Cigarette models, notably the batteries for the KR808D-1 and DSE901 electronic cigarettes), Joyetech has really pushed the bar in technological achievement.
In 2010, it was the release of the Joye eGo that proved to be the most revolutionary marvelous smoking device in the industry. More than just a simply battery life upgrade, the eGo evolved into a smoker’s customizable dream. With a plethora of atomizer options, mega batters, and even 510 backwards compatability support – there was no reason to discount the Joye eGo e-Cigarette as a run of the mill option for vapers. Coupled with the Joye eGo was the Joye 510 which gave tens of thousands of vapers worldwide the chance to experience a robust product line.
Enter 2011, with a crucial milestone in 2010 comes another one this year and in such a short history has been rewritten. With the advent of LR atomizers and the introduction of cartomizer technology, nothing has been so revolutionary until Joyetech unveiled their new Joye eGo-T/Tank system featuring a new piece of electronic smoking technology, the Tankomizer.
With Backwards Compatible Technology and Flexible Ease of Use, the Joye eGo-T continues the Joyetech Tradition
The Joye eGo is by far one of my more favorite e-Cigarettes out of the models I do own (and I own quite a bit, necessary for writing accurate reviews). The eGo is definitely my “go-to” daily, vapor cigarette. Quite frankly, I’d be hesitant to say that it wasn’t, it never leaves my side. More importantly, I’m a big fan of the Joyetech product line. I own many Joye eGo batteries (both Regular and Mega) as well as LR 510 atomizers, LR eGo Atomizers (again, both in Regular and Mega), the Joye eGo PCC (Portable Charging Case), and Fancy drip tips for both models. Suffice it to say, I own everything that has ever been released for the Joye eGo since Joyetech introduced the cigarette a little over a year ago.
The wonderful thing about the new eGo-T unit is the familiarity you’ll get with using it. In many ways, it’s very similar to the original eGo. As it should be considering that, just how eGo was compatible with the Joye 510, the Joye eGo-T tankomizer is completely backwards compatible with your existing Joye eGo gear: batteries (regular and mega), chargers, your PCC, you name it.
What makes the eGo-T Such an Excellent Buy is its New Atomizer Technology, or more Precisely, the Tankomizer.
Many three-piece e-Cigarette users who bought the original Joye eGO or Joye 510 would constantly complain about the incessant need to refill cartridges, which oddly enough held very little e-Liquid to even get a satisfying puff. I personally questioned their design due to the all too often occurrence of my cartridge melting or the bizarre looking filler material. I had my suspicions with that material which looked slightly burnt, I would imagine that would explain the off-tasting vapor I’d experience each time I used either electronic cigarette.
One way to combat the underwhelming cartridge design was to switch from traditionally using a cartridge and instead ‘dripping’ e-Liquid directly onto the atomizer with the use of inexpensive ‘drip tips’. In doing this, you’re giving yourself a great clean flavor and an overall better vaping experience to boot. Yet, there were downsides to this solution as one would have to manually drip more electronic cigarette liquid every few minutes to continue savoring the flavor. Not to mention that for those who lack a steady hand, it can prove quite messy aiming the liquid onto the drip tip. Not to mention, if the fluid isn’t heated enough before inhaling, it wouldn’t be uncommon to have a mouthful of liquid in your mouth instead of a burst of flavor. Not a pleasant for any vaping enthusiast, I assure you.
The other alternative was in trading both the atomizer and the cartridge for ‘cartomizers’ instead. This was initially possible only with KR808D-1 based cartomizer models by use of adapters that allowed them to be compatible with the Joye 510 and eGo electronic cigarette. Though soon after, 3rd party and official JoyeTech manufactured cartomizers began to spring into the market. Though the advent of the cartomizer solved the need to constantly refill, it also meant that in adopting such technology, the vastly superior atomizer (Joye 510 LR Low Resistance Atty, for instance) for subpar models built in to the cartomizer. That being said, it still didn’t necessarily solve the issue of filler material accompanying the nicotine liquid inside which would still result in a burnt after taste that was on a level far below that of dripping.
The Joye eGo-T Gives Smokers an Electronic Cigarette with a New Tankomizer System that Combines Dripping AND Cartomizers into One Convenient Package.
The brand-new Joye eGo-T atomizer, with highly specialized Tank cartridges provides vapers a new and exciting electronic cigarette that’s familiar. While the battery has undergone a minor makeover with a new manual button protection feature, both the capacity and indeed everything else remains the same (at both sizes).
The “Tank” or Tankomizer is essentially a newly developed electronic cigarette cartridge for the Joye eGo that works in a rather original way. Comprised of an approximately 1.5ml “tank” or small transparent plastic enclosure, this small cylinder fills up with more than enough e-Liquid (I would say more than the capacity of current cartomizers out today) to give you enough time to savor every each and every smoke you take. With a small cap that pops off easily, the tankomizer cartridge is reusable, so don’t be afraid to top up when you need to. Once properly refilled, its inserted into the new Joye eGo-T atomizer. Each atomizer contains a spike down inside that punctures a rather small hole in the tip of an accompanying fluid tank that’s inserted. As you continue to experience one of the most stellar vaping experiences of your life, the tankomizer will effortlessly drip liquid in a controlled fashion directly on to the heating coil of your atomizer. No fuss and no muss.
The Only Complaint I Had from My Initial Review of The Joye eGo-T Has been Crushed
When I first wrote an earlier review about my reaction to the Joye eGo-T was that the device itself wasn’t really keen on being labeled as a low resistance atomizer. Far from it. As I predicted, that problem became a distant memory with the new eGo-T LR atomizer. Each one produces a more intense vapor that any smoker would come to expect from regular LR atomizer use. While this is more of a particular for more picky users, the vast majority will be able to enjoy the regular eGo-T atomizer (packed in with most starter kits) with an impressive amount of vapor providing satisfaction for all who give it a try. Though, for the heavy smokers, you’ll definitely want to consider picking up additional LR eGo-T atomizers to satiate your need for a smooth draw.
My Final Thoughts on The Joye eGo-T: The new ‘Tank’ System gives user a Substantial Alternative to Existing Cartomizer Technologies.
If you want a unit with flexibility, a satisfying experience, and with raw power that makes it a fully capable contender in the electronic cigarette market then look no further than the Joye eGo-T. Coming from a market proven leader in e-Cigarettes, JoyeTech, expect innovation and ease of use with the upgraded eGo line. Once again proving that it’s not meant to be trifled with, JoyeTech has made a new game-changer that doesn’t have a competitor gunning for its place as a superior piece of electronic cigarette technology. With starter options available for less than half of even LESS powerful (and basic) two-piece e-Cigarettes, the eGo-Tank is a wise choice.
While the eGo is certainly a new experience for those comfortable with traditional smoking (and I’ll admit, probably not the best model for those just getting started with vaping), those with a bit of experience under their belt will be right at home with Joyetech’s eGo-T model. Put simply, you get the purest flavor from your favorite e-Liquid (arguably as good, if not better than dripping) without the unsavory fluid in your mouth.
It also means you get to go as long or longer than most cartomizers between refills. The ego-t really is the best of both worlds! I have been really blown away continuously over the past couple of months since I first got my hands on the Joye Ego-T unit and really think this ‘tank’ or ‘tankomizer’ technology is going to become the defining new innovation in electronic cigarettes and the vaping world for 2011.
With the eGo-T, you get a longer lasting experience that puts a lot of cartomizers out in the market to shame. The eGo-T really provides the best of both worlds and it’s bene a pleasure to use it day in day out. I’ve been literally floored by the ease of use over the past few months since I first decided to take the plunge. Believe me when I say that this new tankomizer technology will not only define electronic cigarettes but be the forefront for other companies to adopt similar technology as well. 2011 is going to be a very exciting year for e-Cigarette and vaping enthusiasts.
